Vizianagaram, October 5:*The Vizianagaram Utsavalu 2025, a resplendent celebration that epitomises the rich cultural and historical heritage of North Andhra, commenced with grandeur on Saturday. The festivities were inaugurated by *Telugu Desam Party State President and Gajuwaka MLA Mr. Palla Srinivasa Rao*, who unfurled the ceremonial flag at the main venue set up opposite the renowned Paiditalli Ammavari Temple.Addressing the gathering, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said the Utsavalu stood as an enduring symbol of the region’s deep-rooted cultural and spiritual legacy. “To inaugurate these time-honoured celebrations, which have continued unbroken for centuries, is indeed a privilege and a blessing,” he remarked. Commending the Maharaja Alak Narayan Society of Arts & Science (MANASAS), founded by the illustrious Gajapathi lineage, he noted that its contributions to the field of education were “truly commendable and inspiring.”

Home Minister Ms. Vangalapudi Anitha, MSME Minister Mr. Kondapalli Srinivasa Rao, local MLA Ms. Pusapati Aditi Gajapathi Raju, DCCB Chairman Mr. Kimidi Nagarjuna, and other dignitaries participated in the ceremony. The inauguration was followed by a grand cultural procession that wove through the streets of Vizianagaram, featuring traditional music, folk performances, and vibrant pageantry reflecting the district’s rich traditions.Later, Mr. Srinivasa Rao called on the Hon’ble Governor of Goa, Sri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju, at the historic Vizianagaram Fort and extended his courtesies. He subsequently visited the educational institutions run by MANASAS along with MLA Aditi Gajapathi Raju. Inaugurating a science exhibition organised by the students, he lauded their innovation and talent, and presented awards to the meritorious participants.
