St. Joseph’s College for Women celebrated National Constitution Day grandly under the leadership of the Department of Political Science, stated Principal Dr. Sr. Shyji and Vice Principal Sr. Hema.
Dr. Captain Sujatha, who attended the programme as the Chief Guest, lit the ceremonial lamp and addressed the gathering. She emphasized that every citizen must respect the Constitution, abide by the laws, and contribute to the nation’s development. She highlighted that India is the world’s largest democracy and that values such as equality, integrity, justice, and progress are enshrined in our Constitution.
As part of the celebrations, students enthusiastically participated in various creative and knowledge-based competitions, including Essay Writing, Open Mic, My Manifesto, Constitution Memory, and Mock
Similarly, Sri Satyanarayana, President of Visakha Youth Consumer Forum, and Sri Satya Kunalayya, Founder of Ashra Foundation, addressed the students and stressed that Constitution Day reaffirms devotion to the Constitution, civic responsibility, and commitment to nation-building. They urged students to practice constitutional rights, duties, and values in everyday life.
The programme was successfully coordinated by G. Ramesh, Head of the Department of Political Science, and faculty member J. Rama Rao. A large number of students, staff, and distinguished guests participated in the celebrations
