Visakhapatnam : Visakhapatnam Darpan news service : 6th December:Joseph’s College campus hosted the Alumnae Heartfelt Reunion 2025 on December 6, celebrating the spirit and legacy of Josephines. Alumnae from various batches participated in large numbers, reminiscing about their memorable journey at the institution.
The Chief Guest, Mrs. Satya Kumari, Registrar (Red), High Court of the Combined State of Andhra Pradesh, and an alumna of the college, addressed the gathering. She appreciated the strong alumnae network nurtured by the institution over the years
A major highlight of the event was the Alumnae Support Initiative, through which alumnae came forward to support economically disadvantaged students. As part of this initiative, cheques worth ₹2,000 each were distributed to 21 students.
College Principal Dr. Sr. Shyji expressed heartfelt gratitude to the alumnae for their constant support and emphasized the vital role of former students in strengthening the growth of present learners.
The meet also honored distinguished alumnae who have brought glory to the institution. They include:
Dr. G. Lalita, Dr. B. Rajyalakshmi, Dr. Sharda Reddy, Mrs. G. V. Subbalakshmi, Dr. G. Indira, Mrs. P. Jayalakshmi, Mrs. N. Ramadevi, Mrs. V. Varalakshmi, and Mrs. Sita Devi.
The alumnae also paid a heartfelt tribute to former Executive Committee member Ms. D. A. Ramani, who passed away last month. Dr. P. K. Jayalakshmi rendered a touching poem in memory of Ms. Ramani, honoring her dedicated services and her remarkable 32-year tenure as the former Head of the Department of Office Management.
The event was enriched with cultural performances, interactive sessions, and nostalgic sharing of memories. The reunion concluded with a renewed commitment to further strengthening alumnae engagement and supporting the student community.
