Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam Darpan: The valedictory function of the two-day National Seminar was held grandly on February 3, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the Seminar Hall of St. Joseph’s Women’s College (A), Visakhapatnam. The programme was presided over by the Vice-Principal of the college, Dr. Sister Hema.On this occasion, the Chief Guest, Prof. B. Lilly Grace Eunice, Head of the Department of Economics and Honorary Director of the Agro-Economics Research Centre, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, delivered an inspiring address to the students. She highlighted the importance of goal setting, career planning, and the crucial role of youth in nation-building.The Guests of Honour, Prof. K. Parameswara Rao from the Department of Economics, Andhra University, and Prof. B. Nalini, Head of the Department of Applied Psychology, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, GITAM University, encouraged the students with their motivational speeches. They emphasized that discipline, commitment, and dedication are essential for success in life.The programme was convened by Dr. P. Ramani Latha, In-charge Head of the Department of Economics, St. Joseph’s Women’s College. Dr. Sunitha, Dr. Manikantha, Dr. Pallavi, Shaista, and Prithvila served as Co-Conveners. According to the College PRO, Dr. P. K. Jayalakshmi, a total of 90 delegates participated in the National Seminar. Faculty members from the Departments of Economics and Psychology, along with more than 50 faculty members, researchers, and students from various colleges, actively took part in the seminar.During the valedictory session, certificates were distributed to the participants by the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour. The delegates expressed their satisfaction over the smooth and successful conduct of the two-day National Seminar. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
