The program was held on Saturday on the college campus. The Chief Guest, alumna of the college and Principal of Alwar Das Public School, Mrs. Pasupuleti Lakshmi Sudha, addressed the students. She encouraged them to make their college days memorable and to grow into good human beings. She emphasized that true success lies in humility and modesty and advised students to bring name and fame to their families and the institution. She also highlighted the need for women to excel in all fields in this competitive world and appreciated the Student Council members.
The Guest of Honour, Dr. K. Manikya Kumari, also addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of education and the role of women in academic and scientific fields.The Principal, Dr. Sr. Shyji P. D., spoke about the progress and achievements of the college.
On this occasion, the annual college magazine “The Josephine Voice” was released and stood as a major highlight of the event. The Editor, Dr. P. K. Jayalakshmi, stated that 55 students contributed articles, poems, and stories, and that the magazine is published every year.The “Miss St. Joseph” competitions were a special attraction of the program.
From the Intermediate section, Keertana and Nandini; from the Degree section, Keertana and Nandini; and from the Postgraduate section, Sirivarshini and Ashrita emerged as winners.
The winners were crowned and awarded prizes by the Principal, Dr. Sr. Shyji , along with judges Dr. P. K. Jayalakshmi and Dr. Harini. Prizes were also distributed to winners of various other competitions by the Chief Guest.
The cultural program that followed, featuring songs and dances by students, entertained the audience.
Vice Principal Dr. Sr. Hema, council advisors Dr. Sujatha, Sony, Dr. Mousami, Pratyusha, Praveen, and Sr. Deepali, along with teaching and non-teaching staff and a large number of students, attended the event. The program continued until 2:00 PM, as stated by Press In-charge Dr. P. K. Jayalakshmi.⸻
