Palla Srinivasa Rao Calls for Ethical Public Service, Reaffirms Coalition’s Commitment to BC Welfare*
In a gesture that blended symbolism with substance, Palla Srinivasa Rao, president of the Andhra Pradesh unit of the Telugu Desam Party and MLA from Gajuwaka, on Monday unveiled the New Year calendar of the Andhra Pradesh Yadava Employees Society (APYES) at a programme held in Amaravati.
The event, though ceremonial in form, was underscored by a broader appeal to professional responsibility and social commitment. Representatives of the society submitted a memorandum seeking the allotment of 30 cents of land in Amaravati for the construction of a dedicated building for the association — a request that reflects the growing organisational aspirations of community-based employee networks within the State’s administrative framework.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Srinivasa Rao urged government employees to discharge their official duties with integrity and diligence, emphasising that public service extends beyond the confines of designation. Professional competence, he observed, must be matched by a sense of social accountability, if governance is to inspire trust and credibility.
He stressed that unity, discipline and mutual cooperation among employees constitute the bedrock of inclusive social progress. Calling upon members of the Yadava community in government service to act as torchbearers for the younger generation, he advocated structured initiatives in education, employment facilitation and skill development. Transparency and ethical conduct in public office, he noted, would not only enhance institutional credibility but also elevate the community’s collective standing.
The TDP leader further remarked that the coalition government remained committed to the advancement and welfare of Backward Classes, reiterating that empowerment must be pursued through sustained policy support and community participation.
Earlier, APYES founder and State president Daminaboyina Venkateswarlu Yadav, general secretary Kaveti Ramesh Yadav, senior Secretariat employees Dr. Appa Rao and Raghava Rao, along with employees from various departments including Shanmukha Rao, Bhaskar, Rajinikanth, Lakshmana Kumar, Ramesh, Ramakrishna and Eswar, were present at the event.
