Addressing the gathering, he underscored that the coalition government, under the far-sighted leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and driven by the sustained efforts and resolve of Minister Nara Lokesh, has been steadfastly delivering on its promises, thereby reinforcing public trust.
Describing the Job Calendar released by Mr. Lokesh as a landmark initiative aimed at securing the future of the youth, Mr. Srinivasa Rao noted that the recruitment process, beginning with 10,060 posts, spans key sectors including Group-I, Group-II, police services, higher education, school education, and AEE positions. He observed that the initiative reflects a structured and credible approach to employment generation, positioning it as a model intervention.
6.28 lakh jobs… Coalition government accelerates employment generation
Mr. Srinivasa Rao stated that even prior to the release of the Job Calendar, the coalition government had facilitated employment for a total of 6,28,347 individuals. This includes 30,607 government jobs, 2,48,906 positions in the MSME sector, 1,46,627 placements through job melas and skill development programmes, 95,174 jobs in industries, 64,035 in food processing, 13,866 in IT and electronics, and 5,028 in tourism. He said these figures stand as a testament to the government’s commitment to inclusive growth.
From ‘Thalliki Vandanam’ to ‘Stree Shakti’ and ‘Divyang Shakti’… a golden chapter in welfare
He remarked that the government, under Mr. Naidu’s leadership, has redefined welfare with a comprehensive and inclusive approach. Through the ‘Thalliki Vandanam’ scheme, ₹10,090 crore has been directly credited to over 67 lakh mothers, providing critical financial support to families.
Under ‘Stree Shakti’, more than 43 crore free bus journeys have been facilitated at a cost of ₹1,532 crore. Similarly, the ‘Divyang Shakti’ initiative extends free bus travel to persons with disabilities, with a focus on enhancing dignity and self-reliance. The ‘Deepam-2’ scheme has seen the distribution of 3.64 crore free LPG cylinders, with an expenditure of ₹2,891 crore.
Further, ₹6,310 crore has been disbursed to 46 lakh farmers under ‘Annadata Sukhibhava’, while pensions amounting to ₹58,654 crore have been extended to 63 lakh beneficiaries. Financial assistance of ₹250 crore to fishermen and ₹436 crore to auto drivers reflects the government’s outreach across occupational groups. He also noted the large-scale provision of subsidised meals through Anna Canteens and the enhancement of honorariums for Imams, Mouzams, pastors, and temple priests, signalling equitable support across communities.
Coalition government stands firmly with minorities
Mr. Srinivasa Rao emphasised that the coalition government has accorded priority to minority welfare, citing ₹180 crore in support to Imams and Mouzams, ₹45 crore already released, and a budgetary allocation of ₹6,090 crore as evidence of its commitment.
Transformational changes in infrastructure
Highlighting infrastructure development, he said that road repairs worth ₹1,000 crore and new road projects valued at ₹3,000 crore have been undertaken across the State, alongside the construction of 4,000 kilometres of rural roads. Efforts to ensure potable drinking water to every household and the rapid expansion of urban infrastructure were also progressing apace, he added.
New direction in education, healthcare, and digital governance
Mr. Srinivasa Rao noted that reforms in the education sector, including teacher recruitment and fee reimbursement, are being implemented alongside a Universal Health Policy aimed at ensuring healthcare security for every family. He added that over 900 services have been brought within public reach through digital governance initiatives.
Investment surge… towards ‘Brand Andhra’
Attributing the influx of investments to Mr. Naidu’s vision and Mr. Lokesh’s global outreach, he said that leading global firms such as Google (AI Hub in Visakhapatnam), Reliance Data Centre, TCS, and Cognizant are investing in the State. He described the mobilisation of ₹20 lakh crore in investments and the creation of over 25 lakh employment opportunities within just 20 months as historic.
Progress in agriculture and irrigation
He stated that ₹23,793 crore has been spent on irrigation projects, with major initiatives such as Polavaram being fast-tracked towards completion. Strengthening agricultural support systems and augmenting water resources remain central to the government’s strategy, he added
Mr. Srinivasa Rao asserted that the leadership of Mr. Naidu has ensured the implementation of 95% of the ‘Super Six’ promises within just 22 months, steering the State firmly along the path of development. He credited Mr. Lokesh’s efforts for delivering tangible outcomes in employment, investment inflows, and welfare.
He further assured that the government would continue to expand its welfare and development programmes with sustained momentum, ensuring that the benefits reach every household while upholding the trust reposed by the people.
