From Rural Roots to Great Heights – The Inspiring Success Story of Dr. Dasari Koteswara Rao

Rising to great heights while overcoming hardships from a humble rural background is not something everyone can achieve. However, Dr. Dasari Koteswara Rao, hailing from Bhatluru village in Guntur district, has made the impossible possible through his determination and hard work.

Born into a farming family, he became the first person from his village to complete a Ph.D., bringing great pride and recognition to his community. Despite coming from a modest background, his dedication to setting and achieving high goals serves as an inspiration to the youth.

Dr. Dasari Koteswara Rao continued his academic journey without interruption from primary education to higher studies. By earning multiple qualifications up to the Ph.D. level, he proved his academic excellence.

Under the guidance of Prof. K. Yedukondalu in the Department of Sanskrit at Andhra University, he completed his Ph.D. on the distinguished topic, “A Comparative Study of Vyasa Mahabharata and Andhra Mahabharata – A Distortion Perspective,” showcasing his expertise in the field of research.

In recognition of his outstanding research, he received the Best Thesis Award at the 91st & 92nd Convocations of Andhra University. Receiving this prestigious award from the hands of the Governor of Andhra Pradesh added further honor to his achievement

Currently, Dr. Dasari Koteswara Rao is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sanskrit at St. Joseph’s College, Visakhapatnam. His dedication to both teaching and research continues to inspire students. On this occasion, the College Principal Dr. Sister Shaiji, the management, faculty members, and PRO Dr. P. K. Jayalakshmi have specially appreciated his achievement.
