St Joseph’s observed National Unity Day

 Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, also known as National Unity Day, is observed annually on October 31 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The day underscores the importance of maintaining the sovereignty, peace and integrity of the nation. This day is also the death anniversary of the

 former Prime Minister of India Smt. Indira Gandhi.  She  is remembered as the most powerful woman in the world during her tenure.On this occasion The NSS Unit of St. Joseph's Women College has conducted a unity rally led by the Program officer Dr. K. Manikya Kumari. Students holding the National flags, portraits of Sardar Patel and Indira Gandhi, took a rally from the college premises to Gnanapuram and Convent junction raising the slogans on unity in diversity, Ek Bharat - shresht bharat and one nation- one humanity. The year 2025 marks Sardar Patel's 150th birth anniversary. Principal Dr. Sr. Shyji said that this  Run for Unity  engages citizens, especially youth, in fostering patriotism and social harmony. Later, students took a pledge on Unity.
