Siripuram, December 21:Dr. Kamal Baid, a prominent social worker and Chairman of the Walkers International Conference, who has been providing invaluable services to 'Walkers International' for the past 40 years and serving as the inspiration for the Walkers movement, received the prestigious 'Walkers International Award', the *"World-Renowned Walker Friend"* Distinguished Service Award. The *'International Walkers Conference'*, held grandly at the Siripuram VUDA Children's Arena Park, concluded on Sunday. The award was presented to Dr. Kamal Baid at this conference, which was attended by national and international delegates. Speaking on the occasion, K. Ramanandam, Chief Trustee of "Walkers International," praised Dr. Kamal Baid's social services, stating that he has been a pillar of support for many orphanages and has provided assistance to poor artists. He also mentioned that Dr. Baid established the 'Veteran Athletics Association Trust', and as its Managing Trustee, he has created a special fund to encourage and support athletes to reach international levels. In this program, the organization's president K. Padmavathi, former president Dr. S. P. Ravindra, media conveners Nanduri Ramakrishna and Ch. Srinivasaraju, representatives Dr. D. D. Naidu, District Governor K. Dwarakanath, Youth Chairperson Vamsi Chintalapati, and others participated and felicitated Dr. Kamal Baid.
Dr. S. P. Ravindra stated that Walkers International, founded in 1986 by the late Sunkara Alwar Das with the motto "Walk - Lead," has today expanded into 1650 branches in India and abroad, and is flourishing with over three lakh members.
