Brochure Released for One-Day National Workshop on “AI-Driven Computational Biology Approaches in Life Sciences”** 31-01-2026, Visakhapatnam

 Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam Darpan:The Department of Botany, St. Joseph’s College for Women (Autonomous), Visakhapatnam, has officially released the brochure for a One-Day National Workshop on “AI-Driven Computational Biology Approaches in Life Sciences”, scheduled to be conducted on 6th February 2026.

The national workshop aims to expose students, researchers, and faculty members to the rapidly advancing field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and computational biology, highlighting its applications in life sciences, biomedical research, and data-driven biological analysis.

The workshop will feature Prof. R. Satyanarayana, Head, Department of Biomedical Sciences, School of Health Sciences, The Apollo University, Murukambattu, Chittoor, as the resource person. He will deliver expert lectures on AI-based computational tools and their transformative role in modern biological research.

The programme is being organised under the guidance of the Advisory Committee, comprising Dr. Sr. Shyji, Principal; Dr. Sr. Hema, Vice Principal; Sr. Mary, Office Superintendent; and Dr. Sudha, IQAC Coordinator.

The Organising Committee is headed by Dr. K. Manikya Kumari, Head, Department of Botany, as Convener. The Co-Conveners include Dr. Sr. Hema, Dr. M. Padma Sundari, and Dr. N. Nagaraju, with Dr. P. K. Jayalakshmi serving as the PRO.

Faculty members Dr. Harini, Dr. Veerabramham, Dr. Mary Anupama, and Dr. Mousami Sanker were present during the brochure release and expressed their appreciation for the initiative.

The workshop is expected to provide valuable academic exposure and foster interdisciplinary learning, encouraging participants to explore AI-driven innovations in life sciences research.
