Jagan Reddy’s Bigotry: A Stark Testament to Betrayal of Hindu Faith* *From Adulterated Laddus to Attacks on Temples by Jagan Reddy Team, Nothing Was Sacred Under YSRCP Rule* _*— TDP State President Palla Srinivasa Rao*_
He noted that the allocation of over ₹12 lakh crore towards infrastructure development underlines the Union Government’s clarity of vision and commitment to building a strong foundation for economic expansion.
“Infrastructure is not merely about roads and bridges,” he said, “it is the backbone of job creation, industrial momentum, and national prosperity. This Budget has been crafted with tomorrow’s India in mind.”
He expressed sincere gratitude to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and the Central Government for steering what he termed a historic Budget. He also lauded the coalition government’s partnership in contributing to the nation’s development.
*Adulteration of Tirumala Laddu: A Grave Betrayal of Hindu Society*
Palla Srinivasa Rao strongly condemned reports of adulterated ghee, synthetic substitutes, and chemical substances being used in the preparation of the sacred Tirumala laddu prasadam, calling it a profound betrayal of Hindu faith.
“To tarnish the prasadam of Lord Venkateswara — revered by millions as the deity of Kali Yuga — is among the most disgraceful acts witnessed under YSRCP governance,” he asserted.
Referring to NDDB findings and laboratory reports, he said the evidence leaves no room for doubt that adulteration had indeed taken place.
He pointed to glaring contradictions within the YSRCP itself: while the former Chief Minister insists there was no adulteration, the former TTD Chairman has reportedly admitted otherwise — exposing internal inconsistency and moral collapse.
*Faith of Millions Mortgaged for Profit*
Citing investigation details, he stated that nearly 20 crore laddus were prepared using close to 68 lakh kilograms of what was described as “so-called ghee.”
Reports indicate that instead of pure dairy ghee, substances such as palm oil, chemical additives, and synthetic compounds were used.
“For the sake of profit, the faith of devotees was compromised,” he said, adding that this was not merely a financial irregularity but a direct assault on Hindu sentiments.
With 70,000 to 80,000 devotees visiting Tirumala daily, he warned that defiling a globally recognised sacred offering would remain a permanent blot on history.
He demanded strict punishment for all those responsible, irrespective of their position.
*Temple Attacks and Administrative Apathy Under YSRCP*
Palla Srinivasa Rao alleged that the laddu controversy was only one part of a larger pattern of neglect. During YSRCP rule, he claimed, over 200 attacks on temples occurred across the State, with only token cases registered and perpetrators escaping accountability.
He criticised the government’s indifference, stating that even repeated assaults on temples and Hindus were met with silence and inaction.
Though Jagan Reddy may be an atheist personally, he said, a constitutional head of government carries the responsibility of respecting Hindu beliefs — a duty he failed to uphold.
He accused the former Chief Minister of encouraging violence during his tenure, and now attempting to play the victim card while provoking caste tensions for political survival.
“In five years, it was adulterated liquor, adulterated construction, adulterated governance — and finally, even adulterated prasadam. That is the legacy of YSRCP rule,” he remarked sharply.
*Continued Insult to Hindu Dharma*
Recalling an earlier incident where Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy had allegedly mocked the sacred Tirumala hills, Palla Srinivasa Rao said the same dismissive attitude towards Hindu faith continued under Jagan Reddy’s leadership.
“The Tirumala laddu adulteration is a living example of how institutions deteriorate when those in power have no reverence for dharma,” he said.
*Strict Legal Action Will Be Ensured*
He stated that immediately upon assuming office, the coalition government brought this issue to light and placed the facts before the public.
Reports suggest that palm oil, chemicals, and even traces of animal fat entered the laddu supply chain through adulterated sources, he added.
He stressed that safeguarding the sanctity of Tirumala prasadam is a collective responsibility — above all, that of those in power.
The matter, he said, will be discussed extensively in the Assembly, and every individual who has hurt Hindu sentiments will face stringent legal consequences.
“No one can escape accountability for a sin committed in the name of God,” he concluded. “Justice will be delivered.”
