NEP Seminar | 13–14 February 2026 A two-day national seminar on the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020
The Inaugural Session was presided over by Prof. P. Somaraju, Secretary, Gayatri Vidya Parishad, in the august presence of Sri P. V. Sarma, Founder Member, and Prof. K. Bose, Principal of the college. The seminar was convened by Prof. S. Rajani. Prof. K. C. Reddy, Founder Vice-Chancellor of RGUKT and Former Chairman of APSCHE, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Delivering the Keynote Address, Prof. Jai Mohan Pandit, Registrar, IGIDR, Mumbai, emphasized the need for systemic transformation, institutional autonomy, multidisciplinary approaches, and outcome-oriented frameworks to achieve the vision of NEP-2020.
The first technical session focused on Curricular Reforms, chaired by Prof. Y. Satyanarayana, Founder Vice-Chancellor of DSNLU. Experts discussed curriculum restructuring, integration of skill-based education, flexibility through the Academic Bank of Credits, and industry-aligned programs. The second session on Governance and Implementation, chaired by Prof. A. Rajendra Prasad, examined leadership preparedness, institutional accountability, digital governance systems, and regulatory reforms necessary for effective policy execution.
A special session chaired by Sri R. Subrahmanyam, IAS (Retd.), Former Secretary to the Government of India (Higher Education & Social Justice), provided valuable insights into policy implementation, social inclusion, and equity-driven educational reforms.
The second day of the seminar emphasized Pedagogical Transformation, Assessment Reforms, and Stakeholder Perspectives. Discussions highlighted learner-centric methodologies, experiential learning models, blended and technology-enabled teaching practices, and research-driven instruction. Sessions on assessment explored continuous evaluation systems, competency-based testing, and outcome-based education models aligned with NEP principles.
The Stakeholders’ Panel brought together representatives from academia, industry, and parents. Industry experts shared expectations regarding employability skills, innovation, entrepreneurship, and professional competencies among graduates. Faculty members discussed implementation challenges, while parent representatives underscored the importance of value-based education and holistic development.
The Valedictory Session was presided over by Sri P. V. Sarma, Founder Member, Gayatri Vidya Parishad, with Prof. Balamohandas, Former Vice-Chancellor of ANU, as Chief Guest. The dignitaries appreciated the institution’s proactive initiative in organizing a comprehensive academic dialogue on NEP-2020 and encouraged sustained efforts toward educational excellence.
