The Department of Botany, St. Joseph's College for Women (Autonomous), Visakhapatnam, organized an awareness program on “Environmental Management through Sustainable Development” today. The distinguished Guest Speaker, Prof. K. Mitigation strategies including renewable energy use, energy conservation, forest restoration and reduction of greenhouse gasesCarbon credits and carbon footprint
The session was highly informative and created awareness among students about environmental responsibility and sustainable practices.The programme concluded with an interactive session and vote of thanks. The programme was presided over by Dr. K. Manikya Kumari, Head, Department of Botany. The event was coordinated by Assistant Professors Dr. M. Padma Sundari and Dr. N. Nagaraju. I & II B.Sc. students of Botany, Zoology and Agricultural Science, Faculty members Dr. Ram Kumar, Mr. Srinivas and Mr. Anikanta were present.
