During the programme, students were educated on promoting a litter-free environment through awareness and community participation. They were informed about segregating waste at the source into wet, dry, and hazardous categories. The importance of practicing the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle in educational institutions and public places was also emphasized.
A cleanliness drive was conducted on the campus, encouraging students to actively participate and take responsibility for maintaining hygiene. Faculty members highlighted that adopting a healthy lifestyle and maintaining cleanliness can help prevent diseases.
The Head of the Department of Zoology and Swachh Committee Co-ordinator, Dr. E. Harini , along with other members of the Swachh team, organized various activities such as poster making, essay writing, elocution, and debate competitions. A campus cleanliness campaign was also carried out. Students were encouraged to spread awareness about cleanliness in their homes, colonies, and communities.The Principal Dr. Sr. Shyji appreciated the students for their service-mindedness and active involvement in promoting cleanliness. She commended their responsible initiative toward building a cleaner and healthier society.
