ASR Mission Day 2: Strategic Healthcare Outreach in Relangi and Duvva; Door-to-Door Campaign Targets Lifestyle Diseases under Project Health Tadepalligudem
RELANGI/DUVVA, April 2: Following the successful launch of World Homoeopathy Awareness Week, ASR Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital (ASRHMC), in collaboration with the Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust (UARDT), expanded its community outreach today with intensive medical camps and awareness programs in Relangi and Duvva.
As a key continuation of Project Health Tadepalligudem, teaching faculty, interns, and students brought Tangible Science directly to the doorsteps of rural residents. This initiative is part of a larger mission to provide scientific screening and relief to over 2,000 underserved citizens in the West Godavari region.
Door-to-Door Awareness and Clinical FocusIn a unique grassroots approach, student teams conducted a comprehensive door-to-door campaign, educating families on the efficacy of Homoeopathy for chronic conditions. Specialized awareness sessions were held, focusing on:
1. Lifestyle Disorders: Diabetes (emphasizing the importance of HbA1c testing), Hypertension, and Obesity.
2. Hormonal and Structural Health: Thyroid disorders and Bone Mineral Deficiencies (BMD).
3. Institutional Services: Residents were informed about specialized services at ASRHMC Specialty OPD Clinics, the 10 Peripheral OPDs, and the provision of Free Inpatient Treatment for those requiring hospital admission.
Leading the Mission
The camps were supervised by distinguished clinical experts and faculty members:
At Duvva: The medical team was headed by Professor Dr. Kadali Srinivas and Dr. B. Aruna Kumari, who oversaw clinical screenings and student-led awareness talks.
At Relangi: Services were rendered by Dr. N. Srinivas and Dr. Trilokya, providing expert consultations to hundreds of villagers.
Collaborative SupportThe volunteers of the Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust played a pivotal role in organizing logistics and ensuring the smooth conduct of these camps. This collaborative effort aligns with the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) mandate to transform Homoeopathy into a standardized, research-driven public health initiative. The awareness week and medical camps will continue through April 7th, culminating in a National Seminar and Awards Ceremony on April 10th, celebrating the 271st birth anniversary of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann.
