ASRHMC and UARDT Launch World Homoeopathy Week 2026 with Grand Awareness Rally in Tadepalligudem

 

Tadepalligudem, April 1st: To mark the commencement of World Homoeopathy Awareness Week, ASR Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital (ASRHMC), in collaboration with the Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust (UARDT), organized a "Grand Homoeopathy Awareness Rally" today. The event, themed "Bharatiya Homoeopathy: From Traditional Wisdom to Tangible Science," aimed to educate the public on the scientific efficacy and accessibility of Homoeopathic medicine.

The event was graced and flagged off by Sadhguru Dr. Umar Alisha, 9th Peethadhipathi of Sri Viswa Viznana Vidya Adhyatmika Peetham and Chairman of UARDT, as the Chief Guest. Sri Bolisetty Srinivas Garu, Hon’ble Government Whip and MLA of Tadepalligudem, attended as the Guest of Honor. The program was presided over by Dr. Akula Vijay Vardhan, Chairman of the ASR Group of Institutions.

The rally commenced at the RTC Complex and proceeded to the Main Road, featuring participation from hundreds of students, faculty, and healthcare advocates. Also in attendance were Prof. G. Ravikiran Sastry, and Dr. Ananda Kumar Pingali, who underscored the importance of the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) mandate for public health research and awareness.

Today, a free medical camp was also conducted at the urban peripheral OPD of ASRHMC in Tadepalligudem.

During World Homoeopathy Awareness Week (ending April 7th), 10 free awareness, screening, and treatment camps will be conducted at 10 peripheral OPDs of ASRHMC. Available diagnostic services include:

• HbA1c (Diabetes screening)

• Lipid Profile

• Thyroid Profile

• Bone Mineral Density (BMD) tests
